Pauline Sikirdji reprises her role as Zora in Svadba, a highly-acclaimed new opera by Ana Sokolovic, for Angers-Nantes Opera. Damian Thantrey, having played Count Ludovic in Sondheim’s Passion at the Theatre du Chatelet earlier this year, sings in the premiere of Michael Ellison’s new opera, Deniz Küstü (The Sea-Crossed Fisherman) at the Süreyya Opera House, Kadiköy in Istanbul: http://www.hezarfenensemble.com/news/detail/2016/02/04/deniz-kustu-on-istanbul-festival/

Lucie Roche sings a concert based around the Stabat Mater for the Orchestre Regional Cannes in Velaux and then begins rehearsals for the revival of Jonathan Dove’s Le Monster du Labyrinthe at the Opéra de Lille, a production which began its life at the 2015 Festival d’Aix-en-Provence (with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Simon Rattle). Maestro David Charles Abell conducts the world-famous Boston Pops Orchestra for the first time on 18 May in a programme celebrating the music of Gershwin, including Rhapsody in Blue.
