Soprano Kate Valentine joins Mark Kendall Artists

biogI am delighted to announce that the hugely talented Scottish soprano Kate Valentine is now represented by Mark Kendall Artists.  Best known for her portrayal of some of opera’s strongest female characters for major companies across the UK, especially Contessa Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and both Musetta and Mimi in La Boheme, Kate is about to tackle another feisty role as Fiordiligi in Cosi fan Tutte for English National Opera (http://www.eno.org/cosi), where she has already sung several principal roles and has been a Harewood Artist for the 2013/14 season.  With a recent, high-profile tour with Glyndebourne as the Female Chorus in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia (broadcast on BBC Radio 3) also under her belt, Kate tackles Marenka, Smetana’s romantic heroine in The Bartered Bride for Opera North in the Autumn.  Other projects, both abroad and in the UK, will no doubt be announced very soon.  In the meantime, Cosi fan Tutte opens at the Coliseum on 16th May!
