Born in Palma, Mallorca, Pablo first came into contact with opera as part of the children’s choir at the Teatre Principal in Palma, going on to study singing at the ESMUC (with the soprano Enedina Lloris) and gaining a degree in Dramatic Arts at the Institut del Teatre, Barcelona.

He began his career as a bass singing roles such as Colline La Bohème, the title role in Don Pasquale, Dr Batholo Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Dulcamara Elisir d’amore and Geronio Il Turco in Italia.  

However, as his voice developed, it became clear that he was, in fact, a lyric baritone and he went on to sing Belcore L’elisir d’amore, Sharpless Madama Butterfly, Scarpia ToscaConte di Luna Il Trovatore, Marcello La Bohème and many other roles in the baritone repertoire; he now regularly appears in houses across Spain including the Palau de les Arts (Valencia), the Teatro Campoamor (Oviedo), the Teatro Villamarta (Jerez), the Teatro de la Maestranza (Sevilla), the Festival de Perelada and the Teatro de la Zarzuela (Madrid), as well as the Teatre Principal (Palma de Mallorca).

He has performed the world premieres of contemporary operas such as Religion Porteña (M. Annunziata), El dubte de Leonora (E. Ferrer), Sort (D. Antolí), Faust and Casparo (L. Steels), i (Ll. Melo), and has also performed in a revival of The Magic Opal by Albéniz at the Auditorio Nacional of Madrid.

Alongside his career as a singer, thanks to his training as an actor, he has worked as a director on works including Marina, La Traviata, Turandot, El barberillo de Lavapiés and Doña Francisquita.  He is also a regular on the oratorio platform, he has sung the Mozart Requiem, Verdi Requiem, Fauré Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, Bach St John Passion and the Rossini Stabat Mater.

His most recent performances include Tobias in the zarzuela “el sueño de una noche de verano” at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, Geronio Il Turco in Italia in Oviedo, Quinault Adriana Lecouvreur at the Teatro de la Maestranza Sevilla, Gualterio in the zarzuela “El reloj de Lucerna” and Antonio Le Nozze di Figaro in Palma, Wagner in Gounod’s Faust at the Teatro Villamarta in Jerez, Dulcamara L’elisir d’amore in Oviedo, Bonze Madama Butterfly at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, and Scarpia Tosca in Palma.  

He has recently been part of a successful production as Monterone Rigoletto for the Opéra National de Lorraine in Nancy, and will revive this role in Luxembourg in the autumn 2021. His forthcoming projects include Uberto La Serva Padrona in Pamplona, Bonze Madama Butterfly in Palma, Conte di Luna Il Trovatore in Ukraine, and Dulcamara L’elisir d’amore in Ibiza.
