Joseph Kauzman - Tenor

Alongside his architecture studies in Cairo, Joseph Kauzman began his singing training at the Cairo Opera, before moving to France for further study at the L’Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, as well as masterclasses with Patricia Petibon, Véronique Gens and Jennifer Larmore.  He went on to win prizes at the UPCMF competition and from the Fondation Royaumont in 2017.

He made his professional debut at the Opéra de Marseille in 2014 in Le Philtre by Auber.

His recent roles have included Lindoro L’Italiana in Algeri for Opéra-Théâtre Geneva, Pedrillo Die Entführung aus dem Serail at the Opéra de Clermont-Ferrand and on tour with La Co[opéra]tive, Dr Caius Falstaff with Alto in Paris, and 1st Armed Man The Magic Flute for Opéra Nomade on tour across France and at the Opéra de Clermont-Ferrand.

Future plans include Lindoro L’Italiana in Algeri also at the Opéra de Clermont-Ferrand.
