A Baritone in Japan

Christian ImmlerGerman baritone Christian Immler has had a furiously busy end of year – and it hasn’t finished yet!  Having sung Bach’s B-Minor Mass with Marc Minkowski and Les Musiciens du Louvre, recorded Niobe in Bremen with the Boston Early Music Festival (with whom he sang Consalvo in Handel’s Almira during June and July this year) AND sung Mozart’s Requiem with the fabulous Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Christian is now in Japan preparing for concerts during December of the Mozart Requiem (http://bachcollegiumjapan.org/en/schedule/w-a-mozart-requiem-k-626/)and then Handel’s Messiah with Bach Collegium Japan, conducted by Masaaki Suzuki.   Later on this season, he returns to work again with Les Musiciens du Louvre, this time to sing Jesus in Bach’s St John Passion http://www.mdlg.net/bach-la-passion-selon-saint-jean-alte-oper-francfort/.
